Crystal Springs Co-op Preschool hosts “Strikes and Spares for Desks and Chairs†to help the Myaliiro Co-op Primary School raise funds for much needed desks. The school’s “Sunshine Committee†headed by an effervescent Karen Gunderson prepared for the event throughout the year. On May 31st courtesy of Robinhood Lanes in Edmonds, they bowled for free and surpassed their goal of funding 60 desks. We dubbed them the “Little School with a BIG Heart†as they raised $2250 with about 35 families participating. This is enough for 60 desks AND most of the funds necessary to buy 2 acres of land for a permanent site for the school!
