Ministry Strategy

Our Calling and Mission:

Help, equip, evangelize, and disciple orphaned and vulnerable children to become servant leaders within their communities.

Our promise and prayer for the children:
Is 61:3 – 4
“And to provide for those who grieve in Zion, to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD: for the display of his splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.”

HEED’s Ministry Strategy

Game Plan For A Sustainable, Hopeful and God-Glorifying Future

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:1

We desire to foster an atmosphere of self sustaining reliance on God and each other within their communities according to God’s Biblical template. We seek to empower and work together to avoid creating dependency. Therefore, our efforts are directed at partnering with local community leaders and other organizations to:

  • Provide education and training opportunities in a Christ-centered environment which will encourage children to discover, develop & enable God-given talents so that children will become self-supporting and contributing members of their community. (Help, Disciple,Equip)
  • Create time for industry, learning and improved health through the provision of the infrastructure for a clean and adequate water supply and simple community health initiatives through partnerships with other like minded organizations. (Help)
  • Provide opportunities to learn about the great God of the universe and His love for them. A long-term prayer has been to work beside a seasoned, Bible-based church denomination that is adept at village level ministry. (Evangelize and Disciple)

Key Principals:

  • All stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the planning process
  • Recipients are encouraged to participate in providing for the program or project in some way.
  • Aid is delivered only when one is unable to provide for himself or would die without intervention
  • We avoid alleviating God-given responsibility for family and children
  • We avoid giving or doing something that could individually or collectively be done without our help
  • We allow the family to be the first line of defense before intervention
